I awoke this morning praising God for how He is working in this tiny country, the smallest land country in all of Africa. Today is inauguration day in The Gambia, exactly 5 years ago today this is what I posted on Facebook “Keep praying for The Gambia and political transitions. I just heard some encouraging updates and I am waiting for confirmation from further sources.” Inauguration day looked very different 5 years ago, the uncertainty and the tension were palpable. 5 years ago God intervened in a major way in the political process and today as I sit here praying and praising God I am yet again struck by His sovereignty. It appears that today’s celebration will be calm and peaceful and for that I am thankful. No matter what occurs today and in the future of this country and this entire world God is in control and I am so grateful for that. Thank you for your ongoing prayers.

I’m so thankful that God is in control both in the Gambia and everywhere. I’m thankful for you and your ministry and want you to know I’m praying for you daily.
