Helpers

While on vacation and hauling my luggage, groceries and everything else I really missed our Gambian “helpers”. As the trip progressed and all the walking started taking a toll on my body I counted down the number of times I would have to haul my heavy luggage by myself. I excitedly awaited my return and the porters at the airport.

I may have come back to lots of problems on the property and brought back lots of supplies, but I also came back to lots of helpers. It is rainy season so we have extra people handling the weeds, at least 5 people to help unload things and skilled helpers just a phone call away.

One day last week I was made aware of several issues that could have been overwhelming. First, I sat and sought the nearest and greatest helper our Lord through prayer for wisdom and patience. Then, I sat and called a yard worker, a plumber, a solar worker and a roofer. All of these helpers came together to get everything done with a peace and joy. God even went before so clearly when I called a plumber for one problem and when he arrived he did not find a leak, BUT while he was here the solar worker found a plumbing problem so they worked together to fix it. Thankful for all the helpers who make this ministry and life possible.
