Thank you to all who are praying for our Adult Literacy facilitator training that wraps up on Friday. The last two weeks have been exciting and exhausting. There have been many wonderful conversations and great questions about the biblical teachings. It has been very interesting to see the ways that they teach the alphabet, numbers, reading, writing and basic math. My Wolof has been majorly stretched and I have even learned a teeny bit of Fula (another traditional language). And, I have accepted that fact that I am by far the worst student in the class. Glad there are no actual grades!
There are many reasons for my attending the class and it has been very exciting to see how the existing curriculum and classes might work with the new health education, evangelism, health prevention and community development teachings. We continue to pray for the next steps as we explore things very slowly. Thank you for praying with us.
