Furlough Ministry

I am still in the United States and praying I will be able to return to The Gambia in August, but there is still a lot to do. Many have asked how I am enjoying my “time off” in the United States and although yes I do have some more and different downtime this is very much a time of ministry and work. From the ABWE Missionary Policy Manual “the purpose for furlough is reporting, ministering to supporting churches, refreshment, preparation for a subsequent term of service, and enlisting new workers” and these items have definitely been keeping me busy.

One thing that is important for all of us and especially those living and serving overseas is to always be a learner and I have been doing a LOT of that lately. In order to keep all of you better updated about what the Lord is doing in The Gambia I have been making some overdue changes. Thanks to the help of many friends, church members, family, google and youtube I have spent many hours over the last few months in video editing and website design. I am not going to lie, these are not my favorite tasks. However, it is exciting to see how the Lord is bringing things together and all that He is teaching me and how He is really humbling me through the challenges.

So, without further adieu….
