The book of Romans calls for the Christian to rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep and for us to live in harmony with one another. The last few weeks have had some rejoicing, but there has been a LOT of weeping alongside of my Christian brothers and sisters.
I don’t think I have to tell anyone reading this that these are difficult times full of distress, division, pain, suffering, illness and death. BUT God is still in control and has placed those of us who follow Him in a community so that we may pray with and for each other, so that we may encourage and lift up each other and so that at times we weep and rejoice. I have found myself over the last few weeks crying “this is too much!” Anyone else feel that way? Yes, for me to carry the burden of this world is too much, but the good news is that I don’t have to.
The Lord will carry the burden with me or for me and He has surrounded me with an amazing community to walk alongside during these times. I am grateful for the opportunities being in the US allow me to fellowship with believers even if it is via zoom, or with a mask, or at a distance and there are some amazing people that He has placed in my life especially for “such a time as this”.
I pray He will be honored and glorified as we walk through these trials together. I am also praying for all of you reading this and please send me a message with any specific prayer requests, it would be my honor to weep and/or rejoice with you as you walk through your trials.
