A week ago, I said see you later to a fabulous team from West Cabarrus Church. This is my sending church in Concord, North Carolina, my church family. They are an active and invested partner in my life, this ministry, and the Lord’s work in The Gambia through prayer, support, and encouragement.
As part of this partnership, West Cabarrus Church just sent their 4th team to The Gambia. Additionally, they have sent a short term family who stayed for several months to help with construction projects.
Serving overseas requires a team, a church, a family behind me holding the rope, stepping into the gap, and being a part of this journey God has called us to. I am blessed to have such an amazing sending church and missions agency who work together for God’s purposes in The Gambia and beyond.
This team was such an encouragement as I returned to The Gambia. They jumped in to solve many problems and more importantly, they sought opportunities to pray with and share truths with our Gambian neighbors. It was not an easy trip (especially their travel back to NC after a snow storm), but they handled the challenges with laughter and prayer, supporting each other well.
