2026 is here, whether we are ready for it or not. While I don’t believe in New Year’s resolutions, or other good-luck traditions, I do believe it’s helpful to reflect, prepare, praise, and pray over what the Lord has done—and what He will do. 2025 may have been a tough year, but in the health challenges of my accident and my teammates homegoing I received so many blessings from the Lord and saw Him work in amazing, beautiful, and powerful ways. All I know about 2026 is that it will hold more beautiful times with the Lord. My prayer is that in all that 2026 will hold I will press into Him, seek His will, and His path. And, that through it all, I will give Him praise.
A few weeks ago, I had the amazing blessing of enjoying a Christmas Eve Service for the first time in 10 years! What a joy to gather with God’s family, celebrating the birth of our Savior. As I left that church, the benediction resounded with me and this is my prayer for The Church in 2026: “May we wait as people of hope, may repentance keep us humble, faith keep us trusting, and love shape our witness.”
