Many times over the last several months I have looked around and been surprised at where in the world I am. At the beginning of 2025, my “plan” was to spend the entire year in The Gambia. Instead, I spent my Birthday in London, Spring and Summer in North Carolina, November back in The Gambia and now Thanksgiving and Christmas in Santa Cruz / Capitola, CA.
I am tired of airplanes, even though I am enjoying the points and miles. I am grateful to have this unexpected, time with family. I am enjoying being right where the Lord has placed me and praying for what is next.
I “plan” to get on a plane again January 7th to North Carolina and then January 22nd to The Gambia. However, if nothing else this season has really reminded me to hold my “plans” lightly.
