Be still and know I am God

After living in The Gambia for 8 years I have developed certain rhythms that help me to abide in the Lord. Saturday mornings I let myself sleep in a bit and then head outside under my mango tree for a slow morning. This time includes a couple cups of coffee, a lot of prayer and worship, time gazing at the wonder of His creation, bible study and journaling. Over the last month I have had some assistance in being still and sitting in His presence. They say don’t wake a sleeping baby, that goes for kittens also!

For those who don’t follow me on instagram #wawa may I introduce Stuart Little. He showed up at our property about a month ago and has never left. My big, grumpy older cat is not a fan, but we are slowly making progress in her tolerance of “Little”. He is definitely fun, plays hard and then crashes for a nap and cuddles even harder.

“Little” is getting big
Day #2, he quickly settled in
Crashing hard after playing hard
Shoes are fun to play with
Tolerating each other, at least when asleep
