Prayer Week #4

Ramadan will be ending around April 8th with many celebrations.  Here in The Gambia everything stops and great feasts are had.  Gambians living in the urban area will be coming to their village homes to celebrate the holidays.  Pray for safe and reliable travel; currently the ferries that transport most people back and forth across the river are breaking down almost daily. Pray for God to provide for Gambians and Muslims around the world.  Pray for God to provide for their basic physical needs. Just like the rest of the world, inflation is hitting hard and basic food item costs are skyrocketing.  Many Gambians live on less than $3 per day and the cost of a bag of rice has increased over 65% in the last 5 years.  There is great expectation and pressure that an extravagant feast be prepared for out of town family members. Think Thanksgiving but 2 days long and no potluck, oven or refrigeration.  Most importantly pray for God to open their eyes to their spiritual need for a savior as they see their physical needs.
