Our adult literacy class facilitator trainings are completed and classes will begin in January. Thank you very much for praying. It was an amazing time and we saw God move in some huge ways. My teammate and I are still exhausted and recovering from all of the hard work of putting on these trainings and my brain is still tired and spinning. The last few months since I returned to The Gambia in August have been wonderful and my focus has been on soaking up lots and lots and lots of information. I am calling this the “sponge season” of ministry since like this big fluffy sponge I am absorbing a lot. This information is being stored, prayed through and discussed while we wait to see where and how the Lord leads us to sprinkle out some of what is in the sponge. I am looking forward to the next steps, but I am also absolutely content and at peace with this season of waiting and absorbing. So, if you find yourself in a sponge season right now please know I understand and I am with you. If you are in a pouring out season I also understand as not long ago I was right there with you. Wherever the Lord has you right now may you rest in His wisdom and sovereignty.
Sponge Season
Praying for you, Alison!
