I continue to make excellent progress in my recovery from the accident and school is going well. I love what I am learning in Introduction to Global Health and I am figuring out the online platform as well as how to write a graduate level paper. It is now time for the next steps in my return to The Gambia. I am saying “see you later” to North Carolina next week and headed to California to spend time with family for the next 3 months.
This transition is exciting as it means I am a step closer to my return to The Gambia and I am looking forward to this gift of time with my family. However, leaving my routine, my amazing church family and support, this beautiful mission house and the local Y with the kind, prayerful and encouraging instructors who have been critical in my recovery is difficult.
My spreadsheet of “Alison’s Stuff” is being frantically updated so that I know which country, state and location my clothes and other belongings are in. Thank you for praying for my travel and the next steps as I continue to move forward.
